I trained in Willow Naval Air Station, Willow Grove, PA. on the AUTODIN
project and remember Edth Santone who was the Admin there. Quite a
striking woman to say the least. Later taught some at Fort Monmouth, NJ.
before shipping out for Viet Nam. Was to go to Nha Trang to install the
site but got hi-jacked in Phu Lam (Siagon) by Ben McKnight site director
there. Was there from 1967-1968 until after Tet. Still remember many of
they guys, Jim Peerce, Reg Orth, Lee Huneycut, Ron Gallas and more. It
would be great to catch up on old times. Now living in San Jose, CA. and I
am in the book. Sin Loi man oui.

I have my association listed as Philco-Ford through Ford Aerospace. It
should probably read through Lockheed Martin. I was with Ford when Loral
bought the Aerospace elements. When Loral lost the contract with the AF, I
retired from Loral and went to work for Lockheed Martin. I'm still there
with them in Colorado Springs.

I was wondering if anyone might be in contact or know the status of Mr.
Marvin 'Marv' Shute, Tech Rep, (Company Unknown) that was stationed at Tan
Son Nhut AB, Vietnam, throughout the 1960's. I lost track of Marv after
the fall of Vietnem and Emergency Evacuation of Saigon. Not sure how to
take the first step to find what happened to Marv and perhaps/hopefully
get in touch again with him? Also Hank Brian, same office, same time
frame, same Tech Rep status, believed to have moved into Thailand after
the Vietnam war. Det 2, Pac GEEIA Rgn, Clavier Corp, Capehart Corporation

Jay: I have noticed that several members have posted personal profiles in
the form of a narrative. I have a limited amount of time to hunt for stuff

I was with the Philco-Ford group out of Willow Grove, PA where I trained
on the AUTODIN ADMS message switching system, then spent about two years
(1967-1969) working on the Philco 102 computers at a Philco installed site
in Pirmasense Germany. Upon returning stateside, I was trained on the
Philco-Ford OCR Mail Reader system (an attachment to the Burroughs LSM
(Letter Sorting Machine), then spent about two more years in Boston, MA at
the Boston South Station US Postal Annex maintaining and modifying the
machines. My wife and I now live in Charlotte, NC, and I am about ready to
retire.
Larry
Barnhill ITT-DCD, Page Communications, Federal Electric - I
worked for a short time for Page in '65, on a missile project in Southern
Germany. Bottom of the food-chain, so to speak. I didn't last long though,
because of some managerial practices which I didn't approve of. Before
Page, I had been
working on the USNS Vanguard out of Cape Canaveral and had seen the winds
of change (cuts )coming through, so I quit that to go to Page. After Page,
I was picked up by ITT-DCD and spent a long time with them. Then Federal
Electric for quite a while, then a company called EPS. I quit EPS back in
1999 and applied for this CACI position, and I've done very well here in
the last five years. Don't know where I'll go next, but then a Tech Rep
never does. Nice to see such a site and I'm glad a Friend pointed me to
it. Best Regards, Larry Barnhill

Merle Wagner told me about ExReps - I worked as a Telemetry Tech on the
USNS American Mariner (last trip South), Vandenburg and Arnold in 1965/66.
In August 1966 went to Massachusetts during the construction of the Apollo

Manager. We were stationed in the Far East. I miss those days sometimes
and being at sea. If anyone recognizes my name, please contact me, I would
like to hear from you.
