Patti called me yesterday to let me know that they had rushed Frank to the hospital Friday night. The doctors informed the family that the cancer had punctured the stomach walls and fluid had caused one of the lungs to collapse and there was nothing they could do to stop the fluid to the other lung. I went up to the hospital yesterday afternoon and was fortunate to talk with Frank coherently even though he was on morphine. We got together during the holidays so I wasn't surprised that he was skin and bones, as the cancer and subsequent treatments had taken away his appetite over the past couple of months. He kept his sense of humor through it all and realized it was coming to an end. When all his family arrived at the hospital, Ann and I said our last goodbye to Frank. We left around 2:30. He passed away peacefully around 4:15 P.M. He was a true tracker and loved the Ford/Loral AFSCN era. Frank seemed to always be on the road from the Tech Reps days to the I&C trips and he really enjoyed the many friends he made along the way! Keep an eye open for any announcement in the San Jose Mercury. Franklin McCann wished to be cremated but the memorial services haven't been decided yet. For those of you that wish to send the family a card: Patti McCann and Family 1627 Yosemite Drive Milpitas, Ca. 95035
