DEATH NOTICE & IN MEMORIAM - The Sacramento Bee

McClary, David A. Born Oct 2, 1927 in Kent, Ohio , passed away September 21, 2008 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 54 years to Blanche McClary. Greatly missed by three children, Steve McClary of San Jose, Mike McClary of Cupertino and Linda Mattson of Shingle Springs, a sister of Grace Weismann of Reedley, a brother John McClary of San Bernardino and six grandchildren.

Dave was a veteran of WWII and served in the Coast Guard. He graduated from Kent State University. He worked for 35 years as an Engineer and Manager at Lockheed and Ford Aerospace and retired in 1990. During his career he worked with the development of many of the most advanced satellite systems. He enjoyed teamwork so much that after retirement he worked for L3Com and SAIC also on satellite and communication systems. He was a lifelong member of IEEE.

Dave thoroughly enjoyed life with many recreations to include motorhome
trips, skiing, motorcycling, boating, fishing.Burial services will be held at Sylvan Cemetery District, 7401 Auburn Blvd, Citrus Heights Friday, September 26 at 2PM. A memorial service Saturday, September 27 will be held at Pathway Fellowship 9041 Central Ave., Orangevale, Ca.Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Pathway Fellowship, 9041 Central Ave, Orangevale, Ca.

Regretfully I have to inform you of the passing of Dave McClary on Sunday September 21st.
There will be burial on Friday September 26th at 2:00pm at Sylvan Cemetery, 7401 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights. A memorial will follow on Saturday, September 27th at 2:30pm at Pathway Fellowship Church, 9041 Central Avenue, Orangevale (916) 988-2390. A reception will follow memorial with light refreshments.
